Energy-Efficient Operations – With Measurable Results
In collaboration with Energiråd AS, we have implemented a range of energy-saving (ENØK) measures in our production facility, including

Installation of a new ventilation system with energy recovery

Full transition to LED lighting

Motion sensors for lighting and ventilation control

Improved insulation of the building

An energy-efficient machinery park
In addition, we have replaced older machines with more energy-efficient models, upgraded temperature control units, and insulated injection cylinders to reduce heat loss. We also lower the indoor temperature during nights and weekends to further reduce energy usage.
Electricity from Renewable Sources
We use electricity from the Norwegian power grid, where over 90% comes from hydropower.
This provides a low climate footprint from the outset—but we recognize that even renewable energy must be used responsibly. That’s why we actively work to reduce our energy consumption, regardless of the source.
Resource Utilization and Waste Management
Low Water Consumption: Our production requires minimal water, and no specific measures have been necessary in this area so far.
Waste Sorting: We sort plastic and paper from packaging and deliver it to approved recycling facilities.
Reuse in Production: Scrap parts are reprocessed and reused wherever possible—resulting in less waste and better material utilization
The Transparency Act – Our Commitment to Responsibility

Pla-Mek AS is subject to the Norwegian Transparency Act and actively works to ensure respect for human rights and decent working conditions throughout our supply chain. We conduct due diligence assessments and publish findings in accordance with Section 5 of the Act.
